How to Plan a Memorable Graduation Party
The days of class trips, pep rallies, practices, games, and talent shows are coming to an end for your son or daughter. In other words, it’s time to watch him or her graduate, and get the party planning started!
If you want to have a memorable graduation party for your child, it’s important for you to remember that you keep him or her involved in the party planning.
Some Things That You Will Also Need to Consider Are:
When exactly the party will be held.
You could have the party immediately after the ceremony, or you could plan it to be on a different day. If you are having a party held in honor of a high school graduate, your party may compete with other classmates’ events. So, if possible, it’s probably a good idea to do a little research by talking to other parents. That way you will know if you’re hosting the only party in town or one stop among many.
Where the party be held.
If you decide to host it outdoors, you must be prepared with a tent or alternative backup plan in case of bad weather. If you chose a location other than your home for the party, then you should reserve the venue and a caterer to bring the food.
What theme and style you want—if any.
If there is a certain theme and style you want, it can help you plan all of elements of the party.
Here are some possible themes you could choose:
- A formal dress-up party: Ask the kids and adults to come in formal attire and create formal place settings china, linens, and elegant floral arrangements.
- A casual, flip-flop shoes party: Let everyone be themselves in their most casual attire. Use paper goods, plastic forks, knives, and spoons, and invite everyone to hang out for as long as they wish.
