3 Tips to Help You Have a Successful St. Paddy’s Day Party

Here at Village Catering, food and party planning are two of our specialties. And, with St. Paddy’s Day just a couple of weeks away, we thought it was the perfect time to share some tips with our readers that will help them to both plan and execute a successful party not only this year, but for several down the road!

As always, the first step to having a successful party will be to compile a list of guests, and then send out some St. Paddy’s Day invitations.

If you decided—at the last moment, to have a get-together with family and friends to celebrate the holiday, you should send out both email and postal invitations. However, if you decided to host the party one, or a few months before, postal invitations will do just fine. Also, being that it is St. Paddy’s Day and not a birthday or holiday party, you can send out some green and/or gold homemade invitations! If you don’t have the time, there are plenty of stores out there that will have St. Paddy’s Day-themed invitations available.

Put green, gold, and St. Paddy’s Day decorations everywhere!

For a lot of people, one of the best things about having a party is decorating their homes. And, if their favorite color is green and/or gold, St. Paddy’s Day probably makes it that much more fun! We suggest that you decorate your home with green streamers, shamrocks, and even purchase some pots, fill them with chocolate gold coins, and place them around your home!

Make sure to have some green food and beverages!

Nothing says it’s St. Paddy’s Day in the U.S. than green beer and food. And, being that consuming beer is practically a tradition on St. Paddy’s Day, your party would not be complete without it (although if the party is for children, you can certainly serve green juice or soda.) Some of the food items you might want to consider are green beans, pizzas that have green bell peppers, and, of course, corned beef and cabbage!
