3 Popular Food Shows (That You Should Watch)

Winter is a time for watching the snow fall, reflecting on life, and eating good food. But, do you know what else winter is a time for? Food shows on TV! While you’re cooped up inside, starting to get cabin fever, then we say – take full advantage of sitting on the couch under a blanket, drinking hot chocolate, and watching these popular shows.

At Village Catering, we offer catering services in Philadelphia, PA, as well as other local areas, and we’re all about food, food, and more food. When we’re not cooking, baking, delivering and serving food to our clients, you’ll probably find us watching cooking or baking shows on TV. Here are three popular food shows (that you should watch):

  1. The Chew – Once you hear that Australian accent say, “Today on The Chew!” you know that you’re in for a treat. The Chew is an American cooking-themed talk show that has been on the air since 2011. In case you haven’t guessed, the show was inspired by The View, but instead of focusing mainly on celebrity news, it focuses on food-related and other lifestyle topics.
  1. Cake Boss – If you like cake, art, and Italian families, this may be the show for you. This American reality television series follows Buddy Valastro and his family around his bake shop, Carlo’s bakery. Together, they make not only beautiful but also edible cakes for their clients centered around an agreed upon theme (which is basically anything the customer wants). They’ve made incredible cakes that look like cities, giant sharks, and even Mount Rushmore.
  1. Hell’s Kitchen – This American reality cooking competition, featuring celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, has been on the air since 2005. If you like to watch people cook, compete to be the best, and be screamed at by a chef with a British accent, then please look no further than Hell’s Kitchen.

There you have it. Three shows to watch this winter when you’re in the mood for food. As one of the best catering companies in Philadelphia, PA, and the surrounding areas, we’d like you to give those shows (as well as our services) a try.
